# Accessibility

This page says how we keep kelso.computer usable, how we test it, and how to tell us when something is in the way. It covers this website only. Each Kelso program carries its own accessibility notes.

## What we do

• – Real headings, landmarks, and lists, so a screen reader can move through the page.
• – Everything works with a keyboard alone, and the focused element is always visible.
• – Text and focus colors meet WCAG contrast ratios in both the light and the dark theme.
• – The theme follows your system setting, and a picker lets you override it.
• – Animation stops when your system asks for reduced motion.
• – Pages zoom and reflow. Nothing is locked to a screen size or orientation.
• – Links that open a new tab say so, and nothing opens on its own: no pop-ups, no autoplay, no time limits.

## How we test

We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We check each release with axe DevTools and Lighthouse, and we go through the site with a keyboard alone and with VoiceOver on Safari.

## Known limits

• – The site is in English only.
• – The type is small and monospaced by design. Your browser's zoom and minimum font size settings apply to it.

If something on this site is hard to use, write to team@kelso.computer and say which page and which browser or assistive technology you were using. We acknowledge every report within five business days and tell you what we will do about it.
